HOW TO TAKE CBD OIL

CBD Oil is becoming increasingly popular. As research discovers more and more about CBD, it is fast becoming one of the most popular natural ingredients for people.

According to the 'Cannabis Trades Association UK' in 2018 around 300,000 people bought CBD every month in the UK alone! This figure appears to be increasing month by month. Yet despite this number not everyone knows what CBD is, let alone how to use it.

For those who are new to the world of CBD oil, researching where and what to buy, it becomes very clear to see that there is an overwhelming choice of CBD brands and products, readily available both online and on the high street.

It can be difficult  and often a challenge for consumers to make sense of the variety of products on offer, leaving people questioning what product is best for them. To decide on this we must take a look at the various ways in which CBD can be consumed. And with such a huge overflow of information online, it can become quite overwhelming and  too often confusing.

To help make things a bit easier for you, we have listed the basics, regarding which product form CBD comes in and how to take / use CBD.

Method: SUBLINGUAL

Taking CBD Oil sublingually, simply means dropping the oil under your tongue, where saliva will dissolve it and begin the process of absorbing it. When Cannabidiol (CBD) oil is administered sublingually, it is recommended that the oil drops are held under the tongue for up to 90 seconds before swallowing.

CBD products that can be taken sublingually are: Oil Drops, Tinctures, Pastes, or even CBD Spray.

CBD Oil tinctures and CBD Paste (high concentrate), are products which are designed for the sublingual method of application. They can easily be held in the mouth to give the active ingredients time to be absorbed by the capillaries in the mouth before being swallowed.

Sublingual product: CBD OIL TINCTURES

You may have already heard this method and product used most frequently, CBD Oil Tinctures, are the most commonly used method of consuming CBD on the market.

When first learning how to use Cannabidiol (CBD) Oil this method is probably the best one to start with. Anyone can take them!

There are various strengths and bottle sizes on offer, for CBD Oil tinctures. So something to suit everyone.

With an amazing ease of use, CBD Oil tinctures are the perfect starting point for beginners, but seem to remain a firm favourite amongst experienced consumers too. They are an extremely accessible product, due to both their simplicity and variety of strengths.

Many choose to use CBD Oil tinctures because they are a discreet and quick way of consuming CBD oil throughout the day, in small amounts. Tinctures contain a pipette within the lid, making controlling your amount of drops much easier. The Oil is taken by releasing 1 or 2 drops from the pipette, onto or under the tongue (sublingually) - holding the CBD oil under the tongue for at least 90 seconds before swallowing.

We recommend to do this 2-3 times per day to begin with. Gradually introduce more CBD drops after 5 -7 days if required.

There is no right or wrong way to take CBD Oil, as every individual is different, it is a personal journey and simply a case of finding the amount that you feel is right for you.

A paste-like oil that’s extracted right from the hemp plant, no other ingredients are added. CBD paste contains the following cannabinoids; CB, CBDA, CBDV, CBG, CBC, CBCA, and CBN as well as Terpenes, Terpenoids, Amnio acids and Omega 3.

If you’ve done your research on CBD and you know you’re looking for a large serving of cannabidiol in your daily supplement, natural CBD concentrate paste is the only way to go!

CBD Oil concentrates are the optimal option for those interested in incorporating the most high quality cannabidiol - CBD, into their daily lives. This is a paste-like oil that’s extracted right from the hemp plant, no other ingredients are added.

NOPC Oils CBD Paste is packaged in a convenient, easy to measure and use oral syringe. Which means NO mess and NO waste. this allows the user to measure out their preferred amount of paste on the back of a spoon, on your finger or placing it directly under the tongue (sublingually). Keep it there for 1 minute, before swallowing. A typical serving size is about the size of a grain of rice.

Alternatively, if a bigger amount is required, the paste can be taken as an edible by mixing into food or drink (eg. yoghurt, smoothies, soups or whatever is preferred). An advantage of the syringe is its minimal to nonexistent loss of oil. The full volume is available, measurable, and usable without the fuss of a heating element and tools.

Please note, that all serving suggestions are just a guide, personal need will vary greatly depending on the individual. There is no right or wrong way, it is simply down to the individuals requirements. We suggest starting with a small amount, writing it in a diary to begin with, taking note and after one week slightly increase the amount if desired.

Keep in mind that pure hemp oil does not taste good to many. Each harvest renders slightly different flavours because the flavour and aroma come from compounds within the hemp plant called terpenes. Just like cannabinoids, you don’t know exactly which terpenes have developed in the plant until the oil has been extracted and tested. This makes it difficult to guarantee how each batch will taste.

CBD Pastes is also available in easy to swallow, convenient capsule form.

CBD THROUGH INHALATION - CBD VAPE

You may be wondering if vaping Cannabidiol (CBD) is for you....Vaping CBD is fast becoming the preferred method of consumption of all CBD products. This may simply be due to the rise in popularity of vaping itself, or perhaps because vaping is likely the most efficient and cost effective method of delivery.

We have realised that many people want to start vaping CBD oil in the UK, but don’t know where to start. Vaping is a very efficient and popular way to deliver CBD into your system.

Start low and slow (common advice within the CBD community) to find a few inhalations that work for you. You may be interested in adding one of our CBD Additive e-liquids to your regime as an extra top up, or as your primary method of taking your daily CBD Oil food supplement.

Generally, we find that customers who buy CBD E-Liquid from us here at NOPC Oils, usually fall into one of two categories:

Category 1:

This category includes people who prefer to vape their CBD ‘Neat’ – meaning, that they vape it in a cartridge by itself (NOT mixed with other e-liquids/flavours). And are mostly individuals that are either new to vaping or have another device to separate their nicotine and CBD e-liquids. This category of vapers tend to fill their vaporiser tank full of CBD e-liquid and use it sparingly (eg. 2 or 3 puffs at a time every few hours, or as and when needed).

Category 2:

These include individuals who are CBD ‘Mixers’ – and include people that are existing vapers who like to add a few drops of NOPC Oils CBD e-liquid to their preferred and usual e-liquids in the same tank. This means they can vape all day long.

The difference here is that those category 2 vapers, generally get less CBD with each puff, but are possibly getting a more consistent amount throughout the day. And those category 1 vapers, are able to control the amount of CBD better, by limiting puffs and knowing times.

The two main chemicals in CBD Vape / E-liquid are ( PG ) Propylene Glycol and (VG) Vegetable Glycerin. Vape users with an intolerance to either of these two chemicals may encounter a sinus irritation, nausea or perhaps even a headache after Vaping. Individuals with somewhat more severe intolerance or allergies may even break out in hives, develop swelling or experience difficulty in breathing. Considering that both chemicals are so common in our everyday lives that it would be almost nearly impossible to not realise you have an allergy to either before you started vaping.

Propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin are common ingredients in vapour, cosmetics, hair products, food, drinks, cigarettes, prescription medicine and many other products.

Vegetable Glycerin - VG allergy is also very rare and a reaction is more likely to be caused by an allergy to the plant oil from which the vegetable glycerin was derived from.

Propylene Glycol - PG allergies are much more common, but entirely avoidable to the Vape user.

CBD Vape oil can be used with an E-cigarette, Vape pen, or Vaporiser. A vaporiser heats the oil to its optimum temperature, releasing compounds present in the supplement.

FINAL WORD ON HOW TO TAKE CBD

- DO WHAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU

Everyone who consumes CBD will have their preferred way of doing so, by learning about the different options of consuming CBD that is available to you, will help you make an informed decision about the option that suits you. When starting your CBD journey it is simply a case of trial and error in order to see which method provides you with the most satisfaction.

Regardless of the choice you make, all options are entirely safe and you can never have too much of them. Just start slowly and play around with the amount you take gradually until you find an amount that works perfectly for you.

We recommend that you should always choose what you think is right for you personally, when it comes to finding the best way to take CBD oil. And with so many products on offer and so many different ways to take CBD, finding something you’re comfortable and happy with should be easy!

One important thing to keep in mind about any kind of pure CBD product, is that they won’t get you high, or even slightly buzzed. This is because CBD does not contain any psychoactive component of the plant responsible for euphoric, mind-altering highs. So if you’ve been skeptical about using CBD related products because you don’t want to get stoned, you’ve got absolutely nothing to worry about in that regard.

One thing is for sure and that is once you begin your CBD journey, you wont look back!
